PVC Patches Backing Options
Backing Options
Every custom PVC patch order includes your choice of backing. The right one depends on how the patch will be used — sewn on permanently, held in place for stitching, or swapped between gear. Not sure which fits? Tell us where the patch is going and we'll recommend one with your quote.
Hook-and-Loop Backing
A two-part backing: one side mounts to your vest, bag, or uniform, and the patch presses on and pulls off in seconds. It's the standard for morale patches and tactical gear — swap patches between jackets, packs, and plate carriers without a needle and thread.
3M Adhesive Backing
A peel-and-stick 3M adhesive layer applied to the back of your patch. It's the easy way to hold the patch in exact position while sewing it onto a hat, and works for temporary placement on smooth surfaces.
No Backing
A clean, smooth PVC back with nothing added — the choice when you plan to sew your patches on. Sewing gives the most permanent hold for hats, jackets, and uniforms, and keeps the patch as flexible as possible.
