What's the difference between a fitted hat and a snapback?
A fitted hat has no adjuster — it comes in set sizes or a stretch fit, so the back is clean with no snap or buckle. Snapbacks adjust with a rear closure and fit a wider range of heads with one hat. Fitted reads more premium and retail; snapbacks are easier for group orders where you can’t collect head sizes. We do both — it comes down to the look you want.
How do I order fitted hats for a group without knowing everyone's hat size?
Use a stretch-fit style. Caps like the New Era NE1121 and Flexfit’s fitted line cover a size range per hat — usually two or three sizes cover a whole crew — so you don’t need exact measurements from every person. If your group runs large or small, tell us and we’ll adjust the size mix on the order.
Can you embroider custom logos on New Era and Flexfit fitted hats?
Yes — that’s most of what we do with them. Structured fitted caps take embroidery cleanly on the front panel, and we can also stitch the side or back. 3D puff embroidery works great on the higher-profile styles. Send us your logo and we’ll mock it up on the exact hat and color before you order.
What sizes do fitted hats come in?
Traditional fitted hats run in numbered sizes from about 6 7/8 to 8. The stretch-fit styles we carry simplify that into ranges — S/M (7 1/8 – 7 3/8), M/L (7 3/8 – 7 5/8), and L/XL (7 5/8 – 7 7/8). To find your size, measure around your head just above your ears and eyebrows, or start from the fit of a hat you already own.
Is there a minimum order for custom fitted hats?
Our standard hat minimums apply — pricing starts at 24 pieces, and per-hat cost drops as quantity goes up. With embroidery we can go lower on some styles, so if you need a small run, just ask when you request a quote.
